Putting On A Girdle Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystophy-Putting On Muscle?

Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystophy-Putting on muscle? - putting on a girdle

I wonder if you can put on any muscle. I understand that there would be minimal, but I hope that if I get an exercise routine I'm going to start at least some improvements or definition. Thank you.

You can use every muscle with exercise but exercise caution and be overloaded with a physiotherapist, the memory muscles in muscular injuries and avoid offering compensation. The compensation offers, such as the muscles around it is to a certain movement of the major muscles too weak. Cause compensatory movements that injuries can not strengthen a particular muscle. Of course, you should always consult a physician before exercising. When is the best dystrophy, it is acute, the range of motion exercises and active low resistance, low repetitions are crucial for maintaining the strength and slow. If you are in remission, you can temper with a resistance to the use of repetitions. Will use exercise bands, swim, use a slight resistance in the exercise of BIKE. Again, it's better just to get a prescription from your doctor and have an hour of PT exercises you with your first, then you can help yourself if you think that you sure the exercises themselves.

MDA ask whether they provide a physical tehrapist for you - even just for advice - it would be better able to answer your question

This is the MDA
A program of physical therapy is usually part of the treatment of LGMD. Your doctor may tell you the MDA Clinic Physiotherapy Department, refer to your clinic for a thorough assessment and individual training program.

The main aims of physiotherapy are a major movement in the joints and prevent possible freezing contractures (joints). These problems can occur if the boundaries of movement and is important for patient comfort and function, to avoid them.

Doctors and therapists have somewhat different views on the relative value or risk of different exercise programgen in humans with muscular dystrophy. In LGMD, certain types of exercises that stress can actually lead to faster muscle damage.

An important aim of physiotherapy is to allow more movement in the joints.
Some experts recommend swimming and water sports is a good way to keep muscle tone as possible, without unnecessary burden on them. The dynamics of the water helps protect against certain types of tensions and injuries. Before any exercise, make sure you had a cardiac evaluation. And do not swim alone.
